Dr. Ahmed Ezzat
Current President of the SOGC, Dr. Ahmed Ezzat graduated in Medicine from Alexandria University, Egypt and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Egypt, England, Scotland and Canada. Dr. Ezzat is currently Clinical Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and has a practice in Saskatoon. He has a special interest in obstetric ultrasound with accredited certification by the Fetal Medicine Foundation (UK) for performance of early ultrasound screening for fetal aneuploidy (nuchal translucency scan). He was a member of the International ALARM Committee from 2005 to 2008. He has been an ALARM instructor in Canada as well as Kosovo and Yemen. He is currently involved in an on-going commitment of the SOGC together with the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada to bring the ALARM course to Kurdistan (Northern Iraq).
